XNA is not an acronym

It’s a great platform for building games on the .NET platform!

Hi. My name is João Paulo Figueira. I come from another world (native mobile development) and  will be covering the ins and outs of XNA development for mobile platforms (WP7 and Zune). Right now I’m grtting my feet wet by developing the Zune 120 and WP7 (emulator only) version of the 1945 plane shooter game that you can find on CodeProject.

Right now I hane an animated plane shooting every 250 milliseconds and an enemy plane zooming across the screen. No collision detection so far. Just plain fun making the sprites move.

Stay tuned for the forthcoming posts on this subject!

We have been presenting Microsoft Virtual Earth Web Services  at  2º Seminário de Tecnologias Móveis IT PRO & DEV.

The event was very nice and we took the chance to review old “mobile” friends.

We also have launched our new website Mobimap where it will be possible for developer to have the “best” experience map controls for Mobile phones.

MESH Presentation in Microsoft DevDays2009

We have been demoing MESH @ Microsoft DevDays 2009, I think this is the coolest technologies Microsoft is launching this year.

We still miss the MESH mobile client to show the apps in mobile devices.

Also missing is the Silverlight Mobile, we are anxioux to start digging on it.

Barcelona MWC 2009

We have been in MWC and it seems from the great news we saw there that mobi2do will have great challenges ahead.

One of them would be the platforms and frameworks that we should focus to target the most of the devices.

We saw some interesting ones:

- Yahoo GO

- QT

- J2ME Polish

Let’s see if they will succeed and if they will take all benefits of the devices they are targeting, or if they only work there…

Now it’s time to work on the MESH presentation for Devdays 2009.
